Sacred Heart Retreat Center

 As part of my sabbatical time, I have had the wonderful opportunity

 to spend 8 days at a guided retreat at the Sacred Heart Jesuit 

Retreat House. Their hospitality has been wonderful and along

with some time of silence to reflect and pray, the beauty of this

place is wonderful. It is just south of Denver and I highly 

recommend it to anyone looking for a time to get away 

and just be with God!!

Foothills wildflowers

 I have been trying to get out most mornings and hike 

in the foothills of Albuquerque. I am amazed at all the 

trials and beauty up there in our backyard. It only took

47 years for me to figure that out. With the rains we 

have had in the last few weeks the wildflowers are 

really coming out. Here are a few of my favorites!

Monument Valley

I started off my Sabbatical with a trip up to Monument Valley

in southern Utah for a retreat with the clergy of the 

Episcopal Church in Navajoland. What a wonderful place. 

I have duped the formation in the middle of the above 

photo as my Sabbatical Cathedral. 

Hawk watch

 We have had a family of Coopers Hawks making a nest in our tree 

in the backyard. Here are a few of the photos. 

The one with the young hawk in front has one 

of the adult hawks eating a fresh catch. 

Morning Rainbow!!

 We had a great rainstorm early this morning (July 3rd), 

about .6 inches at our house.

 Had another great trip to Brighton, Utah for 

staff training with the staff at Camp Tuttle. 

A very magical place for me...Good for the Soul!
